Guest sheena
hi guys, just thought i'd share this bit of info that was in my local paper today! it says that the citizenship test will get a overhaul as there are concerns it is scaring migrants off becoming citizens, it also says they might make the test publicly available to migrants before they sit the exam!! it also says that some migrants fear they will be deported if they failed so they need to rethink the test through!! it also says that 35,929 people applied for citizenship in july - september 2006 but after the test was introduced only 9043 applied in october - december last year! so ther is hope for me after all! (never was any good at exams!!!) sheena x
ali
They talked about an overhaul a few months ago when about a fifth of applicants failed. We did the mocktest in our office where more than half the aussies present didn't know some of the answers.
