Pasteypoms
Please can someone advise me, I have a lot of shop brought herbs (dried) and flour / sugar etc can I ship them? ?
northernbird
I guess you probably could but I would say don't bother. Dried herbs don't last well and flour and sugar may well go a bit funny in the container. Give them away or get baking and start afresh.
Pasteypoms
Thanks for your response, but we fly in 4 days as much as I love baking I need to clean lots of shoes lol. Do you where I can check my question out? X
Cliffy43
http://www.agriculture.gov.au/biosecurity/import/plant-products/dried-herbs-and-herbal-products I think the answer is probably no, as you cannot guarantee they have been processed as required. Flour and sugar are both agriculturally derived products, food, and would have to be declared. Is it really worth the hassle? You can easily buy them here. Your shipment could be delayed and if you get a shitty customers guy you could end up paying $$$$$ to have your stuff destroyed.

AndrewC
Do not ship any foodstuffs... in short if it goes into your mouth it can't go!
tina0101
If you're shipping them, they'll take a while to get here and you probably would've bought new ones by the time they arrive. I wouldn't bother with the hassle of it. It's not expensive for new herbs/flour/sugar over here :-)
noworriesmate
You can't ship them but anything that is clearly labelled can be brought in your hand luggage or suitcase. I had a fair bit of saffron and wanted de-caf earl grey tea bags so brought them in on my flight - just remember to declare them NWM
