Guest
Uploaded this as when we was looking for pics of move cube there wasn't many. And hopefully help people who are planning on using move cube. You can get so much in what seems a tiny space. We got a medium move cube. In it we made large wooden box and put a tv box on top, managed to get our washing machine, fridge and drier in. And lots of boxes. And to make sure nothing fell over we wedges it in with black bin bag in the front middle bit with towels, clothes. Definitely recommend move cube. But maybe I've spoke to soon as its currently on its way. There good with communication and also if any problems with paper work they will email you to make amendments. Also inside the cube, in every nick and cranny, we managed to squeeze something in!!

Petkula73
Great pics. We used a Move Cube in 2012 to ship our things over and I'd recommend it to anyone. Total landed cost was something like 1300 pounds after being quoted around 5000 for a container. Some tips for anyone doing this: 1. Use the Seven Seas boxes - really high quality and if you're efficienct you can cram loads in. 2. Don't leave any gaps in the boxes - fill them up with small items which you might think are worthless, but will cost you to replace. 3. Take your time getting the boxes as well packed as you can 4. Have a rough plan how you will pack the cube before you start 5. Put the boxes in first as it's the most efficient use of space - get them all flush and packed up to the ceiling. Fill in the gaps around the boxes with as much stuff as you can. 6. Next put in your big items, so bikes, items of furniture, etc 7. Finally cram every last available cubic centimetre with something. Even silly things like packs of paracetamol, deodourants, bottles of shampoo etc are useful. You'll only need to buy them here and they'll cost you three times as much. Use LOADS of bubble wrap for glass and crockery items and pack them deep in the boxes. Quilts, douvets, blankets, pillows, cushions etc are really good for packing in to tight spaces. Use your oldest linen on them and avoid putting them in bags as you can make more effective use of the space without them. The Move Cube will not be that clean inside, but it's not dirty either, and you can either throw away or wash the covers. As a general comment, bringing lots of little things is worth a lot more to you than a few big ones. To buy a brand new fridge freeezer, washer, dryer and bed here will cost you $2000-$4000 depending on size quality etc. However, the stuff you can pack in to the space these take will cost you a lot more than that to replace, even though they're small and seemingly cheap items. Also, don't waste your money bringing over your old appliances as you'll replace them at some point anyway. Hope this is helpful

James and Julia
Did you need to spray or treat the bikes at all to satisfy the AQIS requirements? Curious as to the best way to do this
MovingtoTasmania
Clean it with Jeyes fluid, and also the bottom of shoes and anything that comes in to contact with the ground. Otherwise if your cube or container is opened and AQIS spot any dirt, you will incur massive charges if they decide to treat all your belongings. CNC FABS
Not sure your gonna get much use out of that 110 transformer. They do not use 110v tools down under!!! and won't let you use them on sites.

Guest
hi everyone, the cube cost 960 including insurance and oz customs clearance fees etc from uk to sydney. regarding the 110 tools we have had mixed replies on this but is not able use them there then so be it but can try and wudnt of got much selling them in uk anyways but i do believe 110 is used. we filled fridge drier and every inch we had. regarding the cleaning of the bike it was a kids bike tht was only 12months old so wasnt bad to clean but we did spend a good hour to hour and half giving it a good clean with stainless steel cleaner for the handlebars and wheel covers and also then scrubbed everywhere else. regarding customs pulling it then in our opinion we did our best cleaning it all and what will be will be, its a customs lottery if they decide too pick on our cube, but good luck to them repacking it lol. hope the pics have helped people as we researched and didnt find many cube pics of them packed so was just an idea. o and yes we had a wooden box built so we could fit more tvs and pcs in etc safely and without loosing space but it does weigh a tonne ha
