I find the govt website confusing plus you cant seem to start filling out the application forms before hand? its all done online now. I really want to be organised and get everything ready but what do I need? Also is anybody else going through the process? How easy is it? Time frame etc Any advice greatly appreciated! MaggieMay24 Posted October 27, 2014 Share Posted October 27, 2014 If you can apply under the Direct Entry Stream, you can apply at any time. But if you're waiting for the Temporary Residence Transition Stream then you can't submit your application (and the employer can't submit their nomination) until after the 2 years on a 457 visa is completed. If you follow the document checklist on the DIBP website, it'll tell you what's needed. Visa processing seems to be taking 3-5 months at the moment.
