Hey guys. Was wondering if anyone has gone through the white card process,

Equivalent to uk cscs card?

I'm wondering whether to do it online or classroom course, is there any difference?

I did it online - I can't see any benefit in a classroom course, as someone who had never worked in the construction industry I found it very easy.

 

The only possible benefit I can see of a classroom course is the contacts you might make but not so relevant if you already have a job.

I've read some contractors don't except online white cards and you need to do the relevant local white card. That might be wrong but I remember reading that. I'm going to wait and do mine once there.

Nice one lady rainicorn, done a bit of research and there seems to be no difference as the card is exactly the same. I'll just go with a proper registered company x cheers

The online card is very variable as to if it is accepted or not, generally in Qld (Brisbane / SEQ) it is accepted, but in SA it is not, but then again there is no law which says it is or isn't, so it comes down to the companies acceptance criteria (also Union driven in some areas). Best bet is to do the classroom based course, they are regular and relatively cheap.
