Chloe Emerson
Hi all I'm just looking for some advice regarding medical insurance. Do you have to have it? I know once I apply for my partner visa I get Medicare. I am planning on having a family with my fiancé within the next couple of years. Do I need insurance to cover maternity care or is this covered with medicare. Any advice from anyone been through this process before would be great
aussiegirlbay
You don't need insurance, it's all covered with Medicare. Good Luck! Aussie Girl Bay
gumster
Thing's happen in life sometimes unexpectedly & ive got private cover & had to use it for a hospital procedure recently. I decided to go privately after waiting for an emergency appointment to see a urologist which to date I haven't got 3 mths after my initial referral. So if you can wait then you probably could use medicare however for me I've had everything done, im back to work & im out of pain all within a few weeks rather than month's of waiting.
