KirkyG
Is there anything specific I need to do? I have spoken to the accountant and understand the tax implications (regarding pensions etc) but wondered if there was anything more I need to do. I think I have 3 months to apply for a NSW driving license. I'll probably have to inform the private health fund. I think it should be cheaper now right? I assume I'll have to inform Medicare, but am unsure if makes any difference (as I was on the reciprocal agreement being a uk citizen)? Is there anything else I haven't thought of? Thanks in advance
blossom
Medicare will give you a new card. I think you have it all covered there though.

chrispeck
Don't quote me on this, but there's something to do with loading for your health insurance (if you choose to get it), if you are over 30(?). They give some sort of offer which means it's advantageous to get your health insurance within one year of getting PR. Like I said, I didn't really understand it, but I did it anyway! Go chat to Bupa or one of the other insurers as they will be able to explain it better than me!
