ljc
Hi I work in agriculture and have the chance of possibly moving to Aus, it would be 3 hours NW of Melbourne, salary is 100k plus house and vehicle, would this be considered an excellent salary? I guess the only expenses i would have would be food and clothing.
buzzy--bee
Yes, in rural Victoria this would be considered an excellent salary. In fact anywhere in Australia, 100k with no house or car costs would be considered excellent. BB
furkew
That's an excellent salary for rural Vic/australia. I'm in the horticulture industry and I would love that kind of package. Any other jobs going LOL.
rosiew
Yes - an excellent salary. Do check out the weather though - like to be consistently dry and warm for half the year but with some punishing days of heat (particularly working outside) - expect plenty of 40 plus days. In contrast there will also be plenty of frosty starts in the winter. Depending on your family circumstances you should look into schools and hospitals - in terms of how far - 3 hours from Melbourne is not three hours from London.
