irsbhopal
I am planning to apply for state sponsor visa either for Western Aus or Northern Territory but need little clarifications as follows I have heard mechanical / project management jobs are available in plenty in NT, is it true?? As per 2014 Northern Territory Skilled Occupation Priority List, Mechanical Engineering is in High Priority Occupations but on other hand seek.com.au shows just 6 openings in all N.T and 47 openings in WA. Is it due to population factor? as WA population is 2200000 and NT population is just 236000 hence job are available in population proportion? Whom to trust for reality? Govt Issued list or Private job portals? I have over 5 years of experience as a project engineer-Mechanical in EPCM (engineering-procurement-construction management- petroleum/hydrocarbons) should I select WA or NT for state sponsorship ? please guide me for all pros and cons. I have also heard Darwin, NT is very isolated and hence very expensive for daily expensive like grocery, house rent, please guide Regards
VERYSTORMY
If there appears to be more jobs in one then that is the one I would opt for.
shresthaz
What makes you think that Perth is cheaper than Darwin? Right now Perth may the most expensive city in entire Australia esp for the new migrants. By the way, I am not trying to discourage you but you may find out once you land here in Oz that whatever overseas experience you have counts here for nothing. Only local experience counts here esp in WA and you have to start from the scratch. P.S. Perth is the most isolated metropolis in the world.
