mazzagirl
Hi folks husband got his ielts results today and we were hoping to get max 20 points for superior english, says you need 8 for each of the components however he got 9 for the other 3 and 7.5 for reading, overall 8.5 mark. I guess this means he will need to resit if we want the extra 10 points? This mark as is should get us 65 points, would you bother resitting for the extra points? Cheers
nic1171
If you need the extra points then yes, if you have enough with just the 10 then no. I've known folk who've sat it 5 n 6 times as they needed the points!

If you need the extra points, then re-sit the exam, I got 8.5 and above on all sections at the second attempt.

kangar00
Agreed. 65 points is plenty. Only re-do it if you actually need the extra points.
