dingeroo Posted April 5, 2014 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Hi im just about to apply for a student visa and just wanted to know if Immigration will check and see that im on benefits, will they refuse my visa? Tickled Pink Posted April 5, 2014 Share Posted April 5, 2014 They will be asking for proof that you can pay fees upfront and have a substantial sum to cover living expenses in the bank - if you are on benefits, do you have that? Unless of course you have won a scholarship to cover fees and expenses.... then you'll just need written proof from the University stating that, and the sum you'll be awarded. Tickled Pink Posted April 5, 2014 Share Posted April 5, 2014 It doesn't matter, requirements of the student visa are that you have to provide proof you have funds upfront plus living expenses. dingeroo Posted April 5, 2014 Author Share Posted April 5, 2014 Ive been told by my agent that because im from the UK we only need to tick the box to say that I have enough funds because I am assessment level 1.
