Guest Rimjim82
Hi Hopefully someone can help. I am currently on a WHV, I was 30 when I was granted it last year. Now I'm here I've decided I want to stay, but now I've turned 31. If I want my 2nd WHV, Does this cause a problem? Regards
Killara
Yes it causes a problem. You must be 18-30 at time of application.
Ozmaniac
Sure does cause a problem. You can't apply for a WHV after you turn 31.
Guest Rimjim82
Thanks for that. Hmmmm. Plan B. How long does the PR route take if applying whilst in Oz? And how much does it cost? Cheaper and quicker than doing it from the UK I assume?
Tickled Pink
Thanks for that. Hmmmm. Plan B. How long does the PR route take if applying whilst in Oz? And how much does it cost? Cheaper and quicker than doing it from the UK I assume? Afraid your assumption is wrong... no difference in cost between UK and Aus really, and wait times are pretty comparable too. What the precise costs would be would depend on which visa you were eligible to apply for.

MaggieMay24
The visa cost is the same, but you wouldn't have the obvious flight costs back and forth which would save you a bundle. And if you apply onshore, you'd be issued a bridging visa so you could work here while waiting for the visa.
