Nat100
Hi, just looking for a bit of advice. I came over to sydney as my partner was relocated with his job. I'm currently teaching but as casual teaching is flexible and the hours are less demanding, I was considering trying to use my baking skills. I'd really love to do some home baking with a little website and some fliers to try and earn some pocket money. can anyone advice on what I would need to do to make sure that this was fully legal as I wouldn't want to be kicked out of the country by making a mistake with money or taxes. thank you. AJ
not 100% sure but knowing this place you need a certificate for everything so you might need a food hygiene certificate and have your kitchen inspected to make sure it comes up to standard for preparing food. LKC
Have a look at the website http://www.flyingsolo.com.au for loads of information about starting a small business. Also, the NSW government and ATO websites should have information about what the requirements are when starting a new business.
