RobRedpath Posted January 19, 2014 Share Posted January 19, 2014 Im taking my bike along with me as part of my luggage as a piece of sporting equipment, question is, does it have to be in a special bike pod box or can i pack it up in a suitcase? i can pickup a large suitcase cheaper than the bike pods but was just wondering if it had to be in a special bike cycle carrier. Contact the airline on it and they will advise. Depends on the value of the bike. If very expensive, I would go for a pod, or at the very least a hard shell suitcase.
