Penelope Pitstop
I got a response within a day or so when I applied online, with a date for an interview/taking the test. The person who signs the identity declaration doesn't have to do anything else, I scanned my passport, drivers license etc and attached them to the online application, you then have to take the originals with you to the interview/test. You only need to get them certified if you are applying by post.
VERYSTORMY
I would think the online would be quickest. I didn't bother uploading any docs and just took them to the interview. The certifying is just the form.
Robert James
can i bring my citizenship test date forward if i contact the department. and is there a way to do citizenship ceremony with any council provided they have place left
VERYSTORMY
It is not the department that arrange the ceremony but your local council. You can not do it at another council Some councils will do one off ceremonies for people in exceptional circumstances but some won't. You will need to wait until you receive your invite for the ceremony from the council and then call them. Have you done your interview and test yet? sunny2012
What if you do not know anyone for more than a year who can sign your identity declaration? Can JP still sign that for you?
VERYSTORMY
What if you do not know anyone for more than a year who can sign your identity declaration? Can JP still sign that for you? Not sure. I would ask a migration agent
