We are starting applications for permanent residency end of next year as we reach the two year point then. Just wondering as we need police clearance from the countries we have lived in over past ten years. How do we apply for police clearance from the uk whilst we are here? What have others done who were applying for pr from 457? We didn't require checks done before we left and they woul have been invalid after a year anyway I believe. Storm fighter Posted December 22, 2013 Share Posted December 22, 2013 Hi shoegal68 you can apply for police certificate by post as per the instructions on their website here http://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx you need to fill the form and and send the required documents which are listed in the checklist and the fees and they will send the police certificate to you ... even if u r the UK you will do it the same way .. We did this a couple of years ago when we applied for our PR. It was pretty straight forward. Just follow the instructions on the above link and make sure you do everything as requested.
