rickandange
Hi. Just wondering if anyone can advise on whether I'd be better doing my CBT over here, or waiting and doing everything from scratch over in Perth? Rick has a full bike license but neither of us has a bike over here, so I'm wondering if I'd just be wasting my time doing it before I go. Is anyone familiar with the costs and process over there for applying for a licence and doing the tests etc? Thanks in advance for any help!
Bluegoss
Hello, I've recently successfully completed application for WA driver's licence here. They required proof of Aussie address, photographic evidence (passport) and copy of residency visa. This was submitted at the local vehicle licence centre where they were helpful in filling out the forms. I paid the fees (about $80) for a year's licence and received full driving licence, car and bike by return in 10 days, as quoted. Very efficient indeed! Hope this helps. Pozz
I had this dilemma before moving to vic. In vic you spend ages on a restricted license, so I did the direct access in the uk then transferred to a full Aus rider license. Have a look and see what the criteria are
