Annielamb
Hi all, My husband and I are are in WA on 457 visa. We are preparing to apply for permanency. My husband had TB when he was about six months old. He was adopted at 1 year old and his adoptive parents weren't given any details on on him being ill except to say he had TB but it had cleared. Will this lack of details or old scarring make getting a permanent visa difficult? thanks Annie

If the chest is clear than no problem. He will always test positive on the skin test and that`s normal. Don`t worry, it will be fine.
roger2shirts
They will insist on a chest xray and if there are any issues they'll treat him and he'll be ok. Its undiagnosed / untreated TB that Australia doesn't want!
