Perth as a regional area for 489 visa...

Hi, does anyone knows if Perth used to be a regional are for 489 Visa. If yes, I need to know since when, (the date) Perth is NOT consider regional area for this Visa. I really appreciate if someone can help me with this info,is very important for me. Thanks!

Thank you so much for trying to help me, but unfortunately it doesn't show the information that I need. I live in Perth and I was planning to apply for this Visa. I paid an emigration agent and he said that I could apply for this visa. Then, I found out that Perth was nor regional for 489 visa as he said. And he said that it used to be regional before. Now, he doesn't want to give me the money back. So, I need to prove that this law changed before he took my money. And he knew that I wouldn't be able to apply for this visa and even that he told me to apply. For this reason, I need the date from when Perth is not longer consider as regional area. Once again.. Thank you.

Some areas near Perth are still considered regional for 489 aren't they? or is it dependent on whether its family or state sponsored visa?

yes some places around perth are consider as regional. the link shows the postcodes for the regional areas

Are you thinking of state or family sponsored? They have different rules regarding what area are allowed. Having said that, I cannot think of a time when Perth was deemed a regional area for the state sponsored at least.

 

What else has the agent done for the money? Did they take you through skills assessment and obtain the sponsorship? Or have they literally taken the money and done nothing. It is not that Perth based agent that has just gone bust is it?
