marcosscriven
I just got a quote online from Seven Seas - £197 for 8 medium boxes by sea. However, buried in a separate section called 'Quote Details' it says there is a charge of £100 at the other end for 'inspection', which is 50% over and above the stated cost. What worries me is that this charge is hidden in terms and conditions, and really easy to miss if you just click the much larger 'Buy Now' button. It also worries me this is the attitude of the company rather than being honest about it. Just wondered about other people's experience with them? Lindor
Hello Marcosscriven, I've used Seven Seas a couple of times, they've been really good both times. Boxes were picked up and delivered on time. That charge is a Goods Examination Fee, as your boxes need to be inspected in Australia, mine cost $99 for 2 large boxes, its payable after your goods have been inspected and cleared. Hope this is helpful
readstogo
When I contacted them about this extra charge they explained that it is charged at the port in Australia. Then I got emailed a better quote with an approximate destination port charge. Get in contact with them and they should explain it it full. I'm yet to use them though!
