Kooky
Hi all just about to do skills select, I am a teacher and think I will have 80ish points (agent going to confirm once paperwork is looked at). I assume it isn't too long after skills select before we can submit an EOI but wondered how long on average people have to wait to be invited once the EOI is in? Candygirl
We did not wait long at all (see mytimeline). Of course, it will depend what day your EOI is finalised. There are two rounds of invites sent out each month.

Hi Kooky, check out this link and click the tab 'Reports' http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/ You'll see that DIAC "conduct rounds of invitations to apply for general skilled migration visas on the first and third Mondays of each month." So you may be looking at the 7th October '13 if you get your skill assessment back soon and submit you EOI quick? Based on 80 points I think you're chances of being selected quickly are pretty good! It also depends on the number of points you EOI is based on and how many other EOIs there are (and at what points the other EOI's are based on). It's worth having a look at some of the reports, some of it is interesting. Good luck!
Joeybee
Got my invite the day afrer submitting the EOI, I had 70 points. Think if you have 80, they should invite you very quickly too. Good luck!
Kooky
Thanks for the info. Sounds quicker than I expected (which is good!). Anyone also able to tell me how long after invitation it takes to actually get a vias (assuming I apply pretty swiftly that is). I know it isn't an exact science but just trying to get an idea of when we might be able to realistically move. Thanks
Jambolina
Hey, I submitted my EOI in August 2015. The next invitation round is 7th September 2015. I have 70 points. Can anyone give me an idea of how long they waited to be selected to submit a visa? Thanks Hi candy girl.
