Roughly, including packing, it should cost around £4000 inclusive of everything unless AQIS decide to inspect all your things, in which case you will incur extra AQIS charges. I shouldn't think it would be more than £5000 and certainly, if you were quoted above that, then you need to get more quotes in. Don't take the movers insurance but look about for your own. Also, that price should include delivery in Aus, unpacking and taking away the empty boxes too.

We're moving from the SW near Bristol to Sydney and have had two quotes, one from Crown Relocations and the other GB Liners (both very good company's). We're going groupage which means a shared container, but our quotes were £2,800 (gb liners) and £2,986 with Crown and that includes AQIS (obviously not if they remove and clean anything but then general duty) packing and delivering and unpacking the other end. hth xx

Bear in mind AQIS/Customs are very strict and will inspect anything and everything they think necessary, they opened our boxes when returning to Oz (originally from here anyway) and took things and said if we wanted them back it would cost $400!! Ridiculous considering they were just christmas decorations that weren't even untreated wood!
