nikkitee
Hi I was wondering what ways you can prove your funds incase you get stopped in australia? I have funds but they are not in my account and are getting sent over to me after I am there. Thanks for your help in advance!

boganbear
a letter from the person whose account the money is in stating the amount of money and that they will transfer it to your account when requested or open an Aussie bank account before you go and have the money transferred. HooRoo
Is this normal? I am travelling out to Sydney on a WHV in October and have my funds in different places. This has freaked me out now will I get stopped and asked to prove my funds when I enter Australia??
lukeinoz
From what I've read on these forums most people who have gone through immigration haven't been asked for proof of funds, but you can bet that if you don't take a bank statement with you you'll be asked (sod's law). I think they're more interested in how you're getting home so if you have a return you may be ok. But i'm not talking from personal experience but from reading many threads on this forum. I would try and get a bank statement printed off.
