The other side of the fence is to buy land and build, at least this way you get a new home and something that suits your family, if you use an ordinary builder and not project home builders, you get more for your money and can use your own design. I have found that you have more equity in your property as you are the 1st to live in it, when buying a resale, someone has already earn't the baseline equity. I built and moved into my property 14 months ago, I already have more than $100,000.00 profit from what it cost to build compared to market value.
