Internal Auditor- Registration or licensing is required. What Does IT Mean?

Hi There

I would like to apply as internal auditor. It is written on the immi site that- "Registration or licensing is required". In the below of the page- it is explained that- In many occupations you must be registered with or obtain a license from a local authority in the state or territory where you want to practise your occupation. Contact the local authority in your relevant state or territory to enquire about the licensing or registration requirements.

http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupati...al-auditor.htm

Can anyone-help me understand what does mean?

Do I require to obtain the license before or during my PR application process?

Or

After getting my PR, License will be required to practice @ the state, if I am intend to continue practice there as an Internal Auditor, which is not related with my immigration process and getting PR.

Thanks In Advance

Shamir

If its accounting then you would need to be accepted by one of the Accounting Authrities, Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant. Having a degree or experience is not automatic membership of these.

Dear wrussell, so Registration or licensing is not relevant with my immigration, right? After receiving my PR, it is required to obtain the license if only I keen to practice as an Internal Auditor?

If, i am wrong pls correct me.

Ignore it. They do not know what they are talking about.

Dear Petals, Internal Auditor is assessed by Vetassess, not by CPA australia or any other accounting body of Australia. So, why accounting is required for assessment?

I think, a Bachelor of Business Administration graduate can also qualify for this. In addition, external auditor and some accountant jobs require completion of 9 relevant courses related to accounting and laws etc. My query is, does licensing is required during my PR application or it is required to practice as an internal auditor only, which is not relevant with immigration process.

Of course you do not need a licence to be an internal auditor, school leavers join internal audit departments.

There is standard wording on immigration website that says in "some" occupations licensing is required.
