Kramvi
Hopefully we can make a new start here. Please advise if you guys can make any contributions here. Will greatly appreciate it. I heard back from the Vetasses saying the following: Café or Restaurant Manager (141111) is classified as a Group C occupation. To be eligible for full skills assessment underthis Group, you must have the following requirements: Group C Occupations require a qualification assessed as comparable to the educational levelof at least an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Diploma, in a highlyrelevant field to the nominated occupation. In addition to this, the applicantmust have at least one year of post-qualification employment in a field whichis highly relevant and at an appropriate skill level to your nominated occupationcompleted in the five years before the date of application for a SkillsAssessment. Pre-qualification employment may be considered. If your qualification is not in a highly relevant field to the nominated occupation, two years of highly relevantemployment at an appropriate skill level will be required. So now it seems that for the Direct Entry Steam I have: 1. Numerous years of post qualification experience in the restaurant management (not fast food ) area. 2. A recognized degree from a recognized institution in the US in the same field 3. One year experience in the past 5 years (I do not have more than a few months of these but have many years before 5 years). 4. An employer who is eligible and willing to sponsor me. 5. My occupation on the CSOL. So to qualify for the Vetasses assessment, I will have to work a few more months in this field to complete a whole year. I understand that after that I will be able to apply for the Vetasses assessment. But after that whether I will qualify for the Direct Entry Stream is a whole different story. Whether I will qualify or not, I don't know. Just sharing my updates with you guys. Am I on the right track or not?
Rupert
You can read all about the criteria for the 186 visa on http://www.immi.gov.au. Whether you meet the criteria or not, we cannot say. Please stop posting the same comment over and over, I have read it at least three times now, if not more.
