But I need time to live in australia to get a positive assessment of my degree thru CPA for Accounting and to apply for EOI. Is it possible for me to ask for extention thru tourist visa? blossom Posted July 16, 2013 Share Posted July 16, 2013 I would be surprised if they would believe you are a genuine tourist after so long in Australia. Unfortunately the 485 is to give you time to do all that type of thing. And what happens when you have that assessment? Were you going to go through the eoi route?
