Thanks blossom, I did read stuff on the immi website like they require passport and character certificate. One of friends citizenship got rejected because he didnt have proper Australian references. There are sometimes small things that can affect an application. I am gng to apply after a year and for now just making sure I have all that is needed to apply for citizenship. Can you direct me a website where I can find a proper list of stuff that I need Please. @Rupert- No didnt hold any Australian Visa between Nov2013 and April 2014. Thanks for asking. @ColCFC- I am in Australia now. I did google . But it is always good to take other peoples opinion and guidance before doing something. I applied for my PR without an agent and just with the help of this site. Thanks PomsinOZ. @Seppo- Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned earlier, I am going to apply in April 2015 so yes I still got 12 months to go. But it better to be informed about such things.

Thanks for the replies. I was in Australia from Feb 2009 to Nov2013. Then in India from Nov 2013 to April 2014. Now on PR from April 2014 in Australia. Does that make me eligible to apply for citizenship on April 2015

Hey all, I want to apply for citizenship the latest. I was on student visa between Feb 2009 till 2010 then on TR from 2010 to nov2013. I left Australian in 2013 and applied for PR from India and I am back in Australia in April 2014. I have lived in Australia approx 5 years and I got my PR offshore. When can I apply for citizenship? What are the documents required? Can anyone please help. Thank you.

Airlines confirm our visa status before they allow us to board the plane. I am just worried that with the new passport they would not be able to link our visa. I just dont want to run in to complications and delays are the airport and then trying to explain and re explain the situation. That would be really bad!!!! I would still like to know how long does DIBP take to update the new passport details on their system. It just gives a rough idea when to book tickets to be on the safer side.

Hey all, I want to know how much time does the immi takes to update passport details after visa is granted. I know the application process for this and form 929 but there is no mention of time they take to update. Thanks!!

Hey countingstars, I did get a notification in view correspondence in immiaccount when I got the grant. I was the same correspondence that was send it me on my email id.

Hey ash, I had applied with 60 points with no work experience and I was fine. Even with 60 points u will be ok. You should be more worried about you application being rejected on incorrect or false information. Still with 65 points you are eligible and CO will consider that.

I will be moving to Brisbane. I lived there for 5 years and love it...

I got the Grant. !!!!!!!!!!!! yay! So happy, Thank you everyone for your help and support. There was no CO allocated. Direct Grant.

Can anyone tell me how can I email DIBP for a status update on my application?

Thanks coolbreeze, Is there a way I can send them an email about this? I didnt upload all the documents at first. Meds and pcc were pending, The status showed received before i uploaded my meds and pcc. Some communication from the CO would have actually helped.

Thanks Chami, It would be really great if I get a direct grant. It has been more than a week since the status has changed and was well before I submitted my meds and PCC. I don't understand what is causing such delay and the CO didnt ask me for PCC and meds. This is causing my thinking to run wild.

Thanks Nazz for your reply, Initially i uploaded all doc except for my meds and pcc. I uploaded my pcc yesterday. I did upload form 80 will all the docs. My status changed to "received" more than a week ago. Getting stressed.

Thanks dewi, Yes I read about it, My new passport will arrive in 2 weeks time so will update it as soon as possible. Hopefully I get my CO appointed during that time. Is there any significance of doc status changing to "received".

Hey guys , Just a quick question, I am going to reissue my passport due to a few changes, can I update this after I have lodged my 189 visa application? I have applied on 31st jan and uploaded all my doc, one week back all my doc showed "reveived" status. does it mean that someone has seen them? I have not been allotted a case officer. Thanks

Hi In3deep, I have applied with 60 points and I got my skills assessed with CPA. CPA usually takes 2 to 4 weeks to complete the assessment.
