toastytrotters
I am about to re-register my imported bike, it is a BMW R1200RT. I have read conflicting articles on the net where some say it is possible to have the bike switched from MPH to KPH, others say its not... The bike does have KPH on the dial but its the inner dial and far too small to read accurately, especially knowing how tight on speeding the cops are. Hoping somebody on here has had experience in swapping over their bike. Thanks!
pob
Hello mate how old is the bike? Is the speedo cable driven or is it electronic? If it is cable, you can buy a converter, this will screw onto the speedo and you put the cable into it and it convers the mph into K's and then all you need is a sticker on the clocks or a new clock face. If it is electronic You can press a button and it will convert K's. But if it has a dial you may just need to change the clock face and you will be done. Alternatively look on ebay in Europe and you many be able to pick yourself up a spare pair of clocks there.
