wannabee
Hi, I am about to put a small old 2stroke outboard in my container, but have just thought that importing 2stroke engines may be against current regulations? It may only be illegal to import in order to sell? Does anyone have any knowledge of this? Can't find any info on line so far. Many thanks,
Iron Chef
You won't have any issues importing an outboard motor without an import approval. There are plenty of 2-strokes already here
Guest Guest26110
I would suggest you contact Australian customs as they are hot on emissions and carbon taxing, I contacted Australian customs via email they are most helpful, most new outboards these days are 4 strokes http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page5834.asp
