bonza2211
Hi Guys, Asked this on some existing threads but didn't get an answer. Is there official guidance from DIAC on what type of IELTS result they need? (It's not on : http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/checklists/186-applicant-checklist.pdf) There's been a number of PIO members who did the Academic and then found they needed General and vice-vera. DIAC does not budge on this. For some individuals the SKILL ASSESSMENT also requires IELTS (CPA etc). Whereas VETASSESS did not request this for my skill assessment. I need to apply ASAP! Would be good to see the official guideline on this. Thanks Bonza
nic1171
Its ususally your skills assessment that dictates which one not Diac. For example like myself as a nurse I had to do Academic, as do those wishing to study at Uni. however because I missed by 0.5 I only got 10 points so Im resiting the general (a little easier) for Diac purposes to try and achieve 20 points. So if your skills assessment didnt request and you need it purely for points purpose then go for general
bonza2211
The most ironic thing is I have taken the Academic test TWICE and achieved a score of 8.5 both times. However those aren't valid anymore! Anyways its $330 for peace of mind. Anyone else?
