ahpplicant
hi, would anyone know about " Visa 189 Regulation 189.212(1)" ? --- it states that if your ACS assessment has be dated "after" receiving the EOI invitation --- it is observed as a main reason to refuse visa 189 grant? i'd like to know your thoughts on this .... mattybe
My thoughts. Skillselect is a method for Australia to select the most appropriate candidates for immigration. Its ranked on a points system and invites issued. If someone is invited and then subsequently was not successful in their skills assessment it would throw the whole system into disarray. Not only that, someone who has confirmed skills, who has maybe less points has missed out on an opportunity of an invite. I think its a good thing. DIAC are upfront about it and state it as a prerequisite. If people dont get tgeir skills assesses prior to lodging then in my opinion they should be refused. My twopenneth. Harsh but fair. pg77
I think this does NOT mean the assesment is to be made after an EOI invitation, but should still be valid then (not (out)-dated). http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/faqs/#faq86649
