  1. hi, would anyone know about " Visa 189 Regulation 189.212(1)" ? --- it states that if your ACS assessment has be dated "after" receiving the EOI invitation --- it is observed as a main reason to refuse visa 189 grant? i'd like to know your thoughts on this ....
  2. CONGRATULATIONS! on both visa & your new daughter joining in your family! - that is truly such beautiful news! joining in this thread - my visa application got submitted, paid and lodged in Dec'2012 - it has been more than 5 months now ... i hope this 1st week of may, my visa gets "finally" granted! ........... i have to *sigh*
  3. i guess, i'd like to join this thread - reading through the different threads, about visas being granted helps me keep a positive view, mostly visas seems to be granted between 2-3 months time ... my visa 189 application was submitted, paid and lodged Dec'2012 ... today marks the 6th month ... sigh ... i hope my visa gets granted this 1st week of may ...... it does frustrate me that many have been fortunate to receive their visa in just a couple of months whilst mine has been more than 5 months now .......... i'm still vying for this week to get the visa .... hopefully they send it this week ...... that'll be a soothing weekend ..... however, Congratulations to those that finally got their visa this 2013! =)
  4. hi, joining in this thread ... mine got submitted, paid and lodged Dec'2012 ... most recent update is that all req'd docs including meds and clearances have all been received .......... sigh .... hoping so much this week the visa grant letter be sent =) also, CONGRATULATIONS to all who got their visa granted this 2013! ps: just to ask ... how to create signature? =D
  5. hi, by default - employment letters does not necessarily require that is has to be addressed to a specific "receiver" ..... in my 9+ yrs. of work experience, my employment letters have been addressed these ways: - To whom it may concern (most common) - Gentlemen unless of course, you want to specifically indicate that your employment letters be addressed to DIAC - which should also be fine (as long as your employer is okay to indicate the addressee of your choice ) hope this helps, and hope you get your required docs uploaded =)
  6. hi, my visa got lodged Dec 21, 2012 - so far latest update is that all requirements have been received ... hoping visa grant letter gets sent soooon =) sigh .....
  7. hi, if i am not mistaken, reviewing the requirements per Skill Select (also, based on my experience) -- once you proof of work experience have been "successfully" assessed by ACS as "suitable" - then you can use these as the official employment documentation to upload in Skill Select for DIAC to refer/use. however, should you still want to "provide" employment letters "IN-ADDITION" to your "suitable" ACS assessment docs - then that should be fine, as long as the additional docs are certified copies. hope this helps.
  8. it is a good start that both your professions are in the SOL, so you'll have to make the next moves: - Log into skill select and complete the assessment process (this process will give you free & fast feedback if you qualify for a certain visa type) - Wait for the Visa Type Invitation (you will receive this via email & reflect in your skill select account) - Comply with all requirements (upon receipt of invitation) - IELTS - Accrediting body of your Occupation per SOL - provide certified copies in (PDF-electronic version) of all documents (eg: passport, birthCertf, marriageCertf etc.) - certified copies of clearances (eg: police clearance etc.) - take the medical chkUp process - complete the Invitation Process Application (includes providing all your details and uploading docs) - pay and submit the EOI Invitation --- (which then becomes SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION ) - upon submission of application, this triggers the initiation for LODGEMENT status from there, you get to be assigned to a CO and then your visa gets granted, however, i have read many instances where, visa actually gets granted upon first contact with CO =D hope this helps =) ps: sigh...... i hope mine gets granted also, before end of April 2013 =D
  9. under the ACS (this is the org. that reviewed my workExp. as ICT BA) it is indicated that, proof of employment could be signed by either "employer or a person authorised by the employer" (Statements must be dated and signed by the employer or a person authorised by the employer. The name, position and contact details of the person making the statement must be clearly indicated.) dont you guys have a department that handles employee/human resource (have you asked your director who would be the next best person to verify proof of employment?) if im not mistaken, you'll also loose significant points submitting an EOI without counting in your years of workExp.
  10. hi, just to advice, make sure that you have detailed out the position title, and position responsibilities during the course of your employment with your company (including change in position & responsibilities eg: promotion, change dept) and have it signed by your supervisor/manager or HR personnel. also, as for points (look under the visa type your applying for) then - you will need to refer to the skillselect points chart (under employment) closest to 5yrs3mnths. http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/faqs/#faq86667 hope this helps.
  11. i'm new, but went thru a tough process to also acquire proof of working experience, but try detailing your job description and position title based on the duration you have worked with your company, and then confirm with HR about validating with HR signature - by default, HR should be able to validate or sign your need for proof of employment ... hope this helps out.
  12. CONGRATULATIONS to all whose visa has been granted!
  13. hi all, i am new to this forum, but have been reading through each you guys encouraging each other while waiting, reading thru this forum (an some others as well) does help loosen the nerves. i hope i'd receive "THE" email for the visa grant before the end of April 2013 however, CONGRATULATIONS! to everyone who finally received their visa granted! =D
