paul566 Posted April 28, 2013 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Hi my family and I have been in Australia since the end of Feb this year we are on a 457 Visa i am a Diesel Mechanic i was just wondering how long i have to wait before i can apply for PR my company said they will sponsor me after 2 years but i have to cover all costs so i was just wondering if i have to wait the 2 years or if i can apply by myself earlier ? also what are the costs involved as the immigration website is very confusing. thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rupert Posted April 28, 2013 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Yes of course you can apply sooner, many people get their PR visa without ever stepping foot in Australia. If your employer does not want to sponsor you for the PR visa yet, then you should look into skilled migration visas, the 189 or 190, if you go to the immigration website and search for "skill select" you will be on the right path. www.immi.gov.au Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
