Hi we are new members and are waiting to send off our medicals which took place on Monday. Very exciting time for us at the moment - like all of you out there.

Hoping to set off next July- all being fine.

Can anyone tell me what the job situation for teachers are like out in Melbourne area?

Or any area, can't seem to find many jobs and we would like to tey and secure a job before going.

there is always lpenty of work for willing people. Only the lazy dont get jobs here, Im in brisbane , which is one of the fastest growing cities in Australia. good luck with the move

You can get Aussie papers off this lot above. They send you the Saturday edition with all the jobs, real estate, cars, etc. Not cheap though. I bought a Brisbane Courier which costs $1-70 (70p) and they charge £10. Well useful though as you can also see how much white goods cost etc through all the advertising. They are very prompt at sending stuff though

many thanks for all your advice. We managed to get our visas last November and booked tickets for the begining of August. Sold all our items and ready to go. Still havn't got jobs yet but confident that we will ( fingers tightly crossed ) :?:

told yesterday that we need to apply to the states to get our qualifcations checked as we need to get then all photocopied and certified yet again after doing it all with NOOSR. oh well life is never as easy as you think!!!

we will take it as it comes, a challenge is always a good thing!

looking forward to it very much even through the nerves.
