noworriesmate
If it was a company that sponsored him and that company has been sold to someone else it will still be the responsibility of that company to honour the visa conditions of your friend. All the relevant information should have been disclosed to the purchaser when the company was sold. NWM

nicolac34
As long has your friend has made every effort to stay employed within the business (doesn't matter who owns it) then he will be fine. If the new owner makes him redundant he should find another job within a regional area and complete his year with a different employer. DIAC are only interested in people who go out of their way not to fulfil their conditions, not people who through no fault of their own find themselves out of a job. If in doubt get him to speak to a registered migration agent.
blossom
Yes, as has been said, if the job is still there for him he has to stay for the two years.

blossom
No, she is saying that if he was made redundant because of the business change he would be fine. If the company has not made him redundant then he has to stay.
