LlamainOz Posted March 28, 2013 Share Posted March 28, 2013 Hi everyone I submitted my 189 application on the 4th of March, with everything but health checks uploaded. I'm wondering whether I should await a CO (do not have one assigned yet) to tell me to get my health checks, or should I do it now, so that when a CO is assigned all documents required are with them, and might help to expedite the process? If anyone has any recent experiences on how long it's taken to get a CO (priority 4), and how long after your visa has been granted that would be great. Kurvyy Posted March 28, 2013 Share Posted March 28, 2013 Hey mate, Allocation dates at the moment for Priority 4 is 10 weeks. Which means you should be assigned a CO within 10 weeks. I'm on the same boat as you. I applied for the 189 on 14/02/2013 (6weeks) and still awaiting for a CO. I haven't done my medicals yet even though I'm thinking of getting one done soon after Easter. Different areas of the website shows different responses. I read that if your application is nearing allocation, you could go ahead and do your meds. But other area said to wait for the CO to ask for it. But the meds last for a year anyway, so should not be a problem if we get it done now I think. From what I've read around the forum, the process is very quick from when you get assigned to visa grant. For people who front loaded their medicals, it's only a couple of days and people who haven't, 3-4 weeks... Hope we hear something soon!
