Hi all

I've just been looking at Poms In Perth, which I had read about.

I've noticed that if you start a new thread, you can choose for it to be 'normal' or 'sticky.'

What is 'sticky' in this context, please?

I had assumed it means a thread where the software has gone wrong and the links don't work properly, but plainly nobody would choose that.

So now I'm baffled...... :?:

Thanks very much to anyone who will be kind enough to explain.

If you look at the index pages for this forum, you'll see that older posts go to the bottom of the list and eventually over onto the next page of the index. A "sticky" topic stays "stuck" to the top of the forum - it's usually used for FAQS or important topics that the forum users want new people to read or which are used frequently :)

Cheers

Oh I see! It's obvious once someone explains..! I didn't think to look in the FAQs. Then again, today has been something of a Blonde Moment all round for me!

Thanks again

Gill
