Will I get through Painter & Decorator TRA Assessment without spray painting - Please Help!!

I am qualified to NVQ3, 3 year apprenticeship and 7 years experience post apprenticeship. Has anyone been through the TRA for a Painter & Decorator recently without spray painting experience? I don't want to go through the difficult process of writing the Statement and gathering all the information if it is clear that spray painting is an absolute necessity to succeed. Please let me know if you are in the same position as me and have succeeded. Also how long does the statement need to be? I have started but I just seem to be repeating myself on the project examples. Any help, particularly around the spray painting question, would be much appreciated before I subject myself to the tortuous process. Thanks.

I imagine other people have asked the same question but why not contact DIAC and ask them? Or maybe search for some Aussie jobs on www.seek.com.au and contact some possible employers and ask them?

Are you quite sure of that? See what happened when I Googled 'DIAC skills assessment? And if it's NOTHING to do with the Department of Immigration, then which Australian Government Department has the responsiblity for skills assessment?

Well looking at the ANZCO Painting Trades Worker defininition it includes spraying so I guess I haven't got a hope in hell if I don't have experience in spraying despite all my other experience, my apprenticeship and my qualifications!!!!!:frown:
