Hunters Hill

A colleague has proposed an area in Sydney called Hunters Hill.

 

Does anyone else reside here or close by with real information on living experiences?

 

Have a major project in West Ryde which appears close by but that could be a dangerous assumption for travel in rush hour.

 

Have posted already that looking for place in Brisbane as well. Pretty much settled in Melbourne but will need place in Sydney/Brisbane in next 6 to 9 months.

 

Any hints on good foodie places also much appreciated or Arty film cinemas.

I lived in Hunters Hill and worked in Ryde many years ago so my experience is not current. However it is one of the top earning suburbs in Sydney. Have you checked whether the rental prices fit your budget? (assuming you wish to rent?)

Superb location on a peninsular between 2 rivers. A village within a city feel. Ferry into the city.

It's a lovely area, very expensive as per Skani's post. West Ryde an easy and short drive from there, VIctoria Rd is pretty bad but you're west of the worst bit (through Rozelle) and against the flow

If money's not an issue I would definitely go for it. For me, it would even be worth a bit of extra aggro on the commute.:biggrin:

We used to eat lunch at a fabulous place in HH but buggered if I can remember it's name. I'd live there bit it's exy.
