bill greenaway
I will soon be arriving in Oz from the UK to look for a house in Queensland. I guess this may take up to 3 months and it seems more sensible to buy a car for temporary use rather than to rent for such a long period. I would appreciate suggestions for a small, normally reliable, relatively cheap car which is commonly available secondhand in Australia. A 2 door car is fine - and does not need to be fast! blossom
I had a daewoo nubira for three years. It was great. Low petrol costs, minimal work needing doing to it. I drive 55km a day for work so clocked up a few km and it never once let me down. Pretty cheap too for a tidy car.
