Kev Rad
Hi I was just after some info on motor insurance. Is it the same as in the UK as I am told the 'Rego' has an element of third party insurance in it?? Is it the same deal for cars and motorbikes? Thanks Kev
Guest The Pom Queen
Hi Kev, although the rego has insurance attached its not like the 3rd party in the UK. If you crashed in to a BMW and the woman driver was injured then the rego insurance pays out, however, you are still liable for damage to her car and yours
fosseboy
The problem is if you import your car, finding someone to insure it as the big companies won't insure an import. Even RAC won't touch it! I am still trying to find one.

Have you tried shannons.com.au they tend to speciliase in providing insurance for "motoring enthusiasts who drive imported, modified, classic, veteran or vintage cars"
dxboz
Was also going to recommend Shannons. I used them a few years ago and their prices were better than RAC etc.
