SaraC Posted January 19, 2013 Share Posted January 19, 2013 Hi, Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I wanted to ask if anyone had got Emigration Insurance and which companies you would recommend? My Husband, 4 year old and one year old leave the UK on 7th April via Singapore for 2 days and then onto Brisbane initially. Hubby has travel insurance included in his UK bank account package but I don't think that would be valid if we're going one way? Also would Emigration insurance also cover our stopover in Singapore? Incata Posted January 19, 2013 Share Posted January 19, 2013 Hi Sara We have got one way emigration insurance with Down Under Insurance http://www.duinsure.com. We paid for a comprehensive policy (so it covered fight delay, cancellations etc - handy really as we fly on Monday!) Once you have sorted out which policy you want, you then add "add-ons" in our case the one way cover (which was free). This just means that in any medical emergency we would be repatriated to Australia, not the UK. We booked for the minimum time possible (5 days) as we are not planning any stopovers, but these can be covered. Hope this helps. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
