Guest
This is a recent thread on the same subject. I don't have time to retype afresh here so have a read of it http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/backpacking-whv/173489-new-here-whv-purchase-advice.html
BritChickx
i would do it all yourself. Applying for the WHV is very straight forward! And as for banks, we can recommend some, then you just go onto their website and look at the migration/overseas section. I personally applied direct from immi and took perhaps half hour? to fill out. With banking I applied to ANZ and was accepted for their basic cash card, and chose a branch in perth to go in and get it activated (I landed in perth). Tax - can't be done until you are in the country anyway! And is pretty straight forward you just need a non PO box address that it can be sent to for you to pick it up.
