Guest
I'd like to recommend Headstart Homestay to anyone looking for short term accommodation in Brisbane. Dale and Fran (and Luke) let part of their house to people like us who don't know the city and surrounds well and who need a bit of time to work out where they want to live and suss out the schools. Short term accommodation really is one of the most difficult things to fiind around Brisbane. We would heartily recommend staying with them. They are lovely people, very helpful, but importantly, just let you get on with things. They were always there for advice on the area, schools etc - invaluable. And Dale, being a plumber, and knowing a heap of other tradies, is a good guy to know!! The room we rented from them was alway clean, with towels and bedding changed every few days, and we had our own entrance to the house. All in all, we felt it was a geat experience and got us off to a good start in Aus. Susie.
Guest Angelcake
Hi Susie Thanks for the recommendation. Im hopefully heading out to Brisbane sometime this year (still waiting for our Visa) and have had a look at their website before and had it in mind for when we arrive. The place looks great! How long did you stay there for? Do you mind if I ask some questions? Did you find a rental property to move to? How long did that take? Where abouts did you choose to live? What area's did you like and which were definately no-no's? Thanks alot Angelcake
