visa activation question

I have 2 sons, one is 14 the other is 16. I've just applied for my visa.. fingers crossed.

I'm aware you have 12 months after your medicals to activate your visa.

If we decide to activate within 12 months, which means its valid for 5 years is my 16yr old child ok if we choose to move out in 3 years. Given he will be over 18 at the time of the move ? Is his visa still valid or do I need to re-prove he is a dependent ?

Odd situation, just wondered if anyone else had been through a similar one.

Thanks in advance.

Dependency is just for the visa grant.

There will be no issues after visa is granted.

As long as they go and validate, they will have a visa for when the move over if later, there has been a few threads with teenagers not validating visas, making things impossible for them in the future.
