190 SS, do they enforce 2 year residency?

Hi

I've got to get SS for my occupation but can't get where I really want to go.

I've read a few quotes from different people suggesting that even if you get SS for one state, once the visa is issued you can pretty much go where you like. Even the 2 years minimum residency can be ignored.

I find this a bit hard to believe but is there anyone out there who can confirm this?

I'd love to think this is a possibility but wouldn't personally want to risk it without serious evidence.

Thanks

true, this has been discussed loads of times on here. no legal obligation, more a moral one. although if you apply for citizenship you might have a bit of difficulty for obvious reasons
