What information would i have to provide if i asked an electrician to come round and tell me what will and won't work in australia (i.e voltages etc). Guest ABCDiamond Posted June 24, 2006 Share Posted June 24, 2006 Does your TV have country settings in the main set up menu ? Mine is set for France and works 100%. Germany setting should also work. UK setting will NOT work. Video and DVD recorders tend to be a problem, so best bought here, although the UK ones will work OK as a Player only. Voltages are the same at about 240v, so most items just need plug changes, but bring some 4 or 6 way extensions, especially to use on fixed adaptors that can't have the plugs changed. Best bet for a modem is to buy a new external one. Do you need a broadband one or a 56k ?
