Guest Daz 22
WE have 3 teenagers and are looking to live somewhere around St Ives killara or up the highway. Trying to decide if 60000 or so a year is worth it at all? What are the best schools in the area for quick arrivals? (don't think we have time to apply for selective schools). Please help. fleabo
Barker for the boy. Lorreto Normanhurst or Abbotsleigh for the girls. House in Wahroonga. Job done. Other recommendations - PLC (Pymble Ladies College), Ravenswood, if you prefer Killara/Gordon/Pymble area. My kids will most probably go to Turramurra High (public school). When we met you can look down on me and say 'I have heard it has a good reputation.' or some such.
caramac
I wouldn't recommend Ravenswood. My girls went there. It's the reason we're back in the UK. When we left my oldest daughter's friend moved as well as she was very unhappy too. She's at Killara High and happy there. They live in Turramurra. Big Bald Biker
Did you end up in Killara in the end as we are looking for families of a similar age to socialise with in the area. Not at the desperate stage but a year in and we are finding it difficult to find family friends for weekend activities Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
katherine 4
Hi I am new to this forum and would love your advice. we are coming over in November and looking for a school for two boys (age 12 and 11). we were thinking about Killara High. Can anyone share any experience? How difficult is it to get in there and at all possible from UK? Would appreciate any advice. Any other schools in the area for boys?
