Hi all,

we are here in oz on a 457 and are just about to apply for regional employer sponsorship.

Hubbie who is a motor mechanic is just about to start his TRA assessment,we know we have got to provide a detailed account of day to day activities/duties etc but we are still confused!!!!:wideeyed:

Was just wondering if anyone's got any templates or any help they could share with us before we both kill each other!!! lol.

Thanks all.

Hi there

Hubby had to do mechanic TRA... 1st photocopy every certificate he has ever got about mechanics and get them signed by someone official to certify...... Then start digging for gold lol.... what hubby did was get references from all the jobs ....from his apprentice to the job he was in when applying for TRA.... He basically sent his references a pre written letter with an explanation what he required and hubby wrote down when he worked for them, as what and what he actually did,and what tools he used whilst working there, all they had to do is put their letter head on it and sign it. ...It sounds tedious but the more you can send about what you have actually acheived in your years as a mechanic the quicker you will get a TRA and it not being knocked back... Aim for even putting down sockets etc... sounds daft but they can't argue it and most important make sure that you follow their guide lines on the required apprentice time and years worked
